QUIRKY CIRCUS

5 November, 5pm – 7pm
Hornsby Park, Peats Ferry Rd

An evening of excitement, adventure, magic… and a dash of danger!

Expect the unexpected in a show brimming with talent when the circus rolls into town. These performers are guaranteed to entertain you with their flamboyancy and fun. Grab your picnic rug, something to eat from the food trucks Chef Life, Bar Coco and G-Dup Burgers and get a front row seat for the Quirky Circus.

Ever seen a bearded hula hooper? Well you will at the Quirky Circus. We wouldn’t want to spoil too much of the mystery, but here is a teaser of some of the acts to feature.

Claire Reincastle
Claire Reincastle, owner of Hornsby’s very own circus school Circus Akimbo, will be performing a traditional circus act known as the Roman Rings, and is one of the very few performers in Australia specialising in this challenging apparatus. With grace, flexibility, and a surprising amount of strength, she will show you how the professionals play.

Selkie will change the way you think of belly dancing forever. This steampunk belly dancing will captivate and surprise you mixing traditional styles with modern music.

Teen contortionist Jessica Peters will shock and astound you as she bends, twists and even sits on her own head.

DMC will get the blood pumping with a thrilling and fun mixture of acrobatics, flips, stunts, parkour, hip hop and breakdance.

Llynda Nairn is one of Australia’s few professional female jugglers, a consummate performer with over 20 years’ experience wowing crowds.

Guiding you through the Quirky Circus will be our very own ring master. From 5pm he will be ensuring you have the best seat in the house. He will challenge your skills over at the Circus Akimbo workshop area where you can try your hand at the amazing tricks on show tonight. You might be surprised at your own hidden talents!

In the event of wet weather, the event will be moved to Berowra Community and Cultural Centre. Check back here for details if wet.
