In the Olden Days

An exhibition by the 2017 Hornsby Shire Emerging Artist, Samantha Wiltshire

27 November – 2 December, 10am-4pm

Wallarobba Arts and Cultural Centre, 25 Edgeworth David Ave, Hornsby
In the olden days is series of paintings and drawings that reflects on the charm of a bygone era. The works have been inspired by and drawn from the historical artefacts of Cheltenham artist, Samantha Wiltshire’s family and friends, the Hornsby Recollects Image Library, Hornsby Historical Society and State Library collections.

This is Samantha’s first solo exhibition, and part of the prize that she received as winner of the 2017 Hornsby Shire Emerging Artist Award. Samantha has used this creative development opportunity to draw together her twin passions of art and Australian history to create an exhibition of works that explores the past with a youthful curiosity.
